Close up of the water absorption trench (WAT) which is made at regular intervals after the CCTs (continuous contour trenches) to absorb large flow of water. The project under Indo German Watershed Development Programme has been carried out under the supervision of WOTR (Watershed Organisation Trust) based in Ahmednagar. This non-government organisation headed by Fr. Crispino Lobo was established in Dec 1993 by Fr. Bacher, a Swiss Jesuit.
