On the way to Darewadi, these hills have been treated by continuous contour trenches (CCTs) with plantation done under the joint forest management scheme. The project under Indo German Watershed Development Programme has been carried out under the supervision of WOTR (Watershed Organisation Trust) based in Ahmednagar. This non-government organisation headed by Fr. Crispino Lobo was established in Dec 1993 by Fr. Bacher, a Swiss Jesuit.
