Hundreds of manual scavengers dive everyday into sewer and saptic tanks, at immense risk to health, if not life. Workers go about their task in a hazardous environment, often lacking even basic safety equipment. Now the risk for these marginalised workers are compounded due to COVID-19 pandemic. Migrant sanitation workers from Malda, West Bengal, working with Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam on daily basis.
