Inscription relating to the Chikkadevaraya anicut in Sitapur village. The inscription is dated 1455 and registers a gift of the Hosahalli village to 72 Mahajans by one Devaraja, son of Singana Vodeya of Nagamangala. The dowor had a channel dug out to the river Kaveri which the Mahajans desired to be extended to their village.
