How elephants cross a trench dug to keep them out. One elephant slides down into the trench and kicks mud until she/he can climb out the other side. The rest simply hand on to his tail and follow. Trenching down all around Nagarhole in thus ineffective in keeping out elephants. Such breaks in the trenches dot the entire area
