Denuded and barren hillsides (viewed from Gopalpura village) supposedly afforested under the National Watershed Programme for Rainfed Areas- a 5 year Programme completed in 1994 in Jhankri village.
Commonland and partly forestland which was treated with plantation as part of the NWDPRA running in the village- contour trenches were made and the area was planted with various tree species none of which survive today
